GMA Network kicks off its long 60th anniversary celebration with a historic television party on SOP this Sunday.
Dubbed "Touching Hearts, Enriching Lives," the 60th anniversary special recaps GMA-7's milestones in the industry with a showcase of some of its renowned programs in the past. Imagine past popular musical-variety shows such as GMA Supershow and Lunch Date doing a come-back onstage.
The party opens with SOP's resident singers Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Jaya, and Kyla leading the "Fashion Forecast" to trumpet GMA's solid lineup of shows this New Year.
GMA-7's most bankable leading men--Marvin Agustin, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Aljur Abrenica, and Mark Herras share the stage with new Kapuso Heartthrob Joross Gamboa to herald the Network's triumph at 60.
Of course, the Kapuso Network's top leading ladies including Iza Calsado, Rhian Ramos, Katrina Halili, Glaiza de Castro, and Kris Bernal also take part in the celebration; while the SOP Girls take on the challenge of performing classic hits from King of Rock 'N Roll Elvis Presley.
Ryza Cenon, Chynna Ortaleza, and Yassi, among others, rock the dance floor with an anime-inspired dance number.
R&B Princess Kyla gets her birthday bash as she performs a mini-concert onstage; while birthday boy Bayani Agbayani takes a trip down memory lane as he reunites with Lunch Date pals Buboy Garovillo and Randy Santiago.
The all-out party at 60 continues with another A1 performance from the celebrated trio of Jonalyn Viray, Aicelle Santos, and Maricris Garcia, also known as La Diva, alongside a sizzling number from the Sexbomb Dancers.
Capping the event is the presentation of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) top grosser Ang Panday topbilled by MMFF Best Actor Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. with MMFF Best Supporting Actor Philip Salvador, and MMFF Best Child Performer Buboy Villar. They will be joined by the film's director Mac Alejandre.
